HEADLAND, Ala. – Dr. Haley Roberts, a Headland native, Turner Medical Scholar, and board-certified family medicine physician, has joined Headland Family Medicine, where she is accepting new patients and providing comprehensive primary care services for individuals and families throughout Headland, Dothan, and the Wiregrass region.
After years of medical training in Birmingham, Dr. Roberts is returning to her hometown to serve the community that helped shape her journey to becoming a physician. She joins the practice alongside her father, Dr. Niel Rasmussen, and Ramona Bolin, PA-C.

Dr. Roberts graduated from Providence Christian School in Dothan before earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Birmingham-Southern College in 2019. She received the Turner Medical Scholarship, which supports medical school education for students from Alabama’s Wiregrass counties, and later earned her Doctor of Medicine from the UAB Heersink School of Medicine in 2023. She completed her residency training and served as chief resident at the Cahaba UAB Family Medicine Residency Program in 2026.
Her professional interests include women’s health, adolescent medicine, lifestyle medicine, and high-quality rural primary care. Dr. Roberts is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
“This feels like a full-circle moment,” Dr. Roberts said. “The Wiregrass community helped make my dream of becoming a physician possible, and there is no greater privilege than returning home to care for the people and families who invested in my future. I am honored to serve this community and hope to make a lasting impact on the lives of my patients for years to come.”
