Dr. Haley Roberts, MD

Dr. Haley Roberts is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages in Headland, Alabama, and throughout the Wiregrass region. Her clinical interests include adolescent health, women’s health, lifestyle medicine, preventive care, and delivering high-quality rural healthcare. She is passionate about helping patients build lifelong habits that support better health, wellness, and quality of life through every stage of life.
As a Headland native, Dr. Roberts is honored to serve the community that helped shape her. After completing her medical training, she returned home to begin her career alongside her father, Dr. Niel Rasmussen, continuing a longstanding commitment to caring for individuals and families throughout the Headland community and surrounding areas.
Dr. Roberts is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. She maintains active memberships in the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
A graduate of Providence Christian School in Dothan, Alabama, Dr. Roberts earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Birmingham-Southern College in 2019. She was awarded the Turner Medical Scholarship, a local scholarship that supports medical school education for M.D. candidates from Alabama’s Wiregrass counties. She graduated from the UAB Heersink School of Medicine in 2023 and completed her residency training at the Cahaba UAB Family Medicine Residency Program in 2026, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Roberts grew up in the Headland community with her parents, Dr. Niel and Amy Rasmussen, and her sisters, Megan and Marie. She attended Headland First Baptist Church and has deep roots in the local community she now serves as a physician.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Roberts enjoys cooking, exploring the outdoors, and hiking with her husband, Aaron, and their dog, Dewie. Their lives are grounded in a deep Christian faith and a commitment to serving others through local ministry and global missions. Dr. Roberts strives to provide compassionate care while serving others with excellence, integrity, and genuine concern for their well-being.
